1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [452], …, N.Y., who seeks an understanding of information which has been given him through these sources. You will answer the questions which he has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the information that has been given, the enquiring mind [452].
3. In seeking an understanding, much of the same character of effort must be put forth mentally and spiritually that has been and is required for the seeking of the material things that would become enlightening to the mental mind.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Henry Holt can give no information about book by the Bishop of the Church of England. Please give name of Bishop, date of publication and Publisher of X.
(A) As the Bishop chose to withhold name when publishing both books, why should this be overridden here if it is to be kept in accord with decency and order?
The first book was published in 1916, by Henry Holt in England.
The second was published in 1919, by Dodd, Mead & Co. in America, under the title “Spiritual Reconstruction.”
These may be obtained through their regular channels (or from the publishers), or may be found in some of the better libraries. They will lead to many experiences that to the body are questionable, but – as will be found – will be preparing the mental attributes for an awakening, even as the Bishop was awakened.
6. (Q) The book Ecco, – Wurttemberg press – is that published in English or German, in what year and by whom published?
(A) Ecco Homo [?], and a description of that implied by the Latin phrasing of same (and the description of that presented in the painting of same), published in German; withdrawn, save in many of the OLDER libraries, or may be obtained from the associations of those with the church. Would the body seek to know more of same, ask through Father Hayes. [Father Patrick Joseph Hays, U.S. Cardinal, N.Y.C.]
In many of the writings that are preserved by only the prelates of various churches in various lands may these be found.
For THIS body, finding these two as given and studying them especially in connection with the interpretation by self of Mark and John, may there be brought in the experience of self that which WILL form the basis of MANY an activity towards the various conditions in the experience of the body; for in the seeking to know not the mysteries that are preserved only for those that have conducted themselves in the manners to be worthy of the knowledge of same, but those mysteries in life, do so with the desire that NONE shall be lost but that all should approach and know the saving grace in the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world.
As it is experienced by the entity, there are apparently (to the eye) so few that do accept this in each generation. What is, what shall be, the outcome of those that for that life have rejected it? Are they to go away into perdition? Are they to have no opportunity? Ecco Homo [?] [See 452-6, Par. R2] shows why He descended into hell, as it is interpreted in Mark, Matthew and John, to preach to those there. Did this not carry further those interpretations that may be had in the various references He made to the patriarches of old? their rejoicing in His day; their calling Him Lord, though He in the flesh, the Son? their making reference to all the joys that art come to the experience in this material world through the knowledge of the love, of the healing in the blood, in the sacrifice made with His life in the earth?
“The meek shall inherit the earth.” What manner of body shall they put on?
Those of the true-hearted, those that are just, shall see God. Are the individuals in any of their experiences JUST, or justified, save in the belief in the cleansing of their SOULS through the patience of their bodies in the material world?
7. (Q) Name also other books of the Catholic faith mentioned in my reading of August 1932. [See 452-3, Par. 14-A.]
(A) Let’s go slow with these. As we have given, study little by little with these as given, and much of that which has been written by those so close with him. Study not with what OTHERS have said, but with what thou hast found in thine own experience of what John has given as respecting His words, of what Mark has given as to His deeds, His acts; for in Him is the light. “Understandest thou that I will bring to remembrance those things that will give thee the answer to the questions that arise in thy experience in all of thine undertakings for me?”
So, as in that day when conviction came in thine experience, reason not OUT of same; rather listen to the Voice that arises, that – even as He gave, “Flesh and blood revealed this not to thee, but my Father in heaven” – has given thee the power to be the minister of Me to many.
8. (Q) What should I study to make myself fit to become an overseer or supervisor of those that minister in the various climes, as suggested in reading of August 1932? [452-3]
(A) The reports, the needs, the requirements in all the various fields, that the various churches or organizations, or united work is doing in the various fields. The reports not as reports TO those organizations sustaining or maintaining same, but rather the reports that are a part of the records with the State Departments OF the activities OF the mission fields in the various climes.
9. (Q) Where would be the best place to study these subjects?
(A) Where are these reports filed? Where those reports are! These, as indicated, in the State Departments, or in that data gathered in the National for the International work in these various fields and climbs.
10. (Q) In life reading January 1932, what specific work in the several fields will entity require? [See 452-1.]
(A) That as indicated; a knowledge of the needs of the individual fields.
11. (Q) How can I obtained the knowledge of the needs of the missionary in various lands in order to assist them?
(A) It has just been given.
12. (Q) Just how would entity benefit by changing his name from [452] to John?
(A) How did Abraham benefit by the changing of the name from Abram to Abraham? How did Paul gain by the change from Saul to Paul? How as there difference in the names of the Hebrew children in their varied surroundings? There is builded about each name that which carries its own meaning or significance, that gives rather the impelling of – and the lifting up to – meeting such conditions. So does the changing or the altering of a name set about varied environs or vibrations, that makes for the conduciveness of changed surroundings.
13. (Q) What is body’s aura?
(A) Blue to violet.
14. (Q) What months and years will be of greatest progress for body materially and spiritually?
(A) These, as indicated and as given, are BUILDED; rather than their INFLUENCING the conditions that come about for changes for material or mental, or spiritual advancement; and are much in the same category as numerological conditions or astrological influences. These influence by the activities that an individual has accomplished in certain periods, that with their cycles bring those influences that act as a stimuli during certain periods.
As will be seen for this particular entity, that occupying the position of the opposite or the other pole of the cycle of the year; and as to years, those that are the multiple of the numbers in the variations of the birthday, month and year. These do not bring their influence. The INFLUENCES are made, and when the cycle rolls around the influence is there! As an illustration: An individual builds for self in certain surroundings a certain environment, as in the visitation of certain places, certain lands or certain homes. While in a certain surrounding, a certain environment or influence is natural. So it is with the cycles of time, or with those periods in year, month, day, hour, or what, the influence of those conditions have their bearing upon the mien of the individual.
15. (Q) Should body marry?
(A) If he chooses to! [See 452-7.]
16. (Q) Where should I find my wife?
(A) Among those that are pleasing to those activities of the body, mentally and physically.
17. (Q) What months and years should body be on his guard?
(A) Those opposite from those that are, or in conjunction with those that are to be, the better influences; as they are passing in or passing out. Ones should be on guard when they know they enter or leave those environs that make for betterments.
18. (Q) Give astrological cycles in this life and general characteristics of each.
(A) These have been outlined in the information respecting the psychological influences; these have been set in that given. [452-1]
19. (Q) How can body attain greater poise and self-control?
(A) By becoming less and less selfish and more and more, in the desire, in the MAKING of self the channel of blessings to others – in Him, in the Christ.
20. (Q) How can body develop greater love, as Christ taught?
(A) By practising same; for, as He gave, we grow little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept, by using that in hand; and as we use that in hand there is given the knowledge, the understanding. In the use of that in hand more is given; for “Unto him that hath shall be given, and to him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he seemeth to have.” That is the law!
21. (Q) What impels body in its habitual negative attitude, and how can this be corrected?
(A) This is only imaginative; for it is rather in the POSITIVE attitude, ever – but these conditions (positive or negative) are LOOSENED in the love of doing HIS biddings in EVERY manner.
22. (Q) What leader or teacher could guide body along the path?
(A) HIM! In Him! Along the ways that were given by Him! Be satisfied with nothing less than He as thy guide, by day and by night! Let ever that mind be in thee: “IF HIS PRESENCE ABIDES NOT WITH ME DAY BY DAY, MAY I NOT BE LIFTED UP!”
23. (Q) What book on psychology would benefit body?
(A) The psychology of life; preferably that given in John – the Gospel John. That IS the psychology of life; for how does it begin? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Him.”
24. (Q) What part of New Testament definitely teaches Reincarnation?
(A) John. Six to eight. Third to fifth. Then the rest as a whole.
25. (Q) What will be the religious development of the Churches in the U.S. in the next 4 years?
(A) That depends upon the activities of too many individuals for this to be prognosticated at the present time; for changes are coming, this may be sure – an EVOLUTION, or REVOLUTION, in the ideas of religious thought. The BASIS of it for the world will eventually come out of Russia; not Communism, no but rather that which is the BASIS of the same, as the Christ taught – HIS kind of communism!
